PMD2: Shattered Memories

Just a random poster-like thing I wanted to do to pass the time in study hall. I'm really impressed with this, especially with the eyes glaring out from the darkness and the balls of fire floating around the girl. I like the shards of reflecting glass, too.

This follows the basic plot of PMD2 and adds in Primal Ninetales from my story, PMD2: Explorations of Time and Darkness. The twist is that Primal Dialga turned back time at the last second upon his defeat, causing everything to be repeated again. Nobody knows this except for Primal Dialga, Dusknoir, and Primal Ninetales...and the hero, a human turned into a Skitty.

The Skitty, Sarah, chose to not form an Exploration Team with Zach the Pikachu in order to protect him from the events she knows are about to come. Instead, she chooses to find Grovyle and help him get the Time Gears so that the paralyzed future can't ever come to exist. Along the way, she discovers that she can see her human self in reflective surfaces but no one else can. Meeting up with Grovyle at last, she gets him to recognize her and they continue on their quest. Dusknoir foresaw this, though, and had the perfect plan to capture them both.

Back in Treasure Town, Zach is depressed that he couldn't get Sarah to make an Exploration Team with him. On his way home that night, he is captured by a group of Sableye and brought to Dusknoir. Dusknoir convinces Zach that Sarah is a criminal and he needs help defeating her and Grovyle. Zach, eager to please the "famous explorer", agrees to help him.

After defeating Mesprit and stealing his Time Gear, Sarah and Grovyle are ambushed by Dusknoir and his Sableye. While defending themselves, a bolt of lightning hits Grovyle from behind and Sarah turns to find herselg face-to-face with Zach. Zach declares that he will help Dusknoir capture them and proceeds to attack. The Skitty tries to reason with Zach, only to have the Pikachu attack her. Sarah tearfully flees with Grovyle, covered in scars from the Sableye's claws.

Sarah explains to Grovyle that Zach was once her friend and explains the events that were supposed to happen. Grovyle realizes that Primal Dialga must've reversed time in an attempt to stop them from defeating him. Grovyle and Sarah split up, Grovyle going to find the Time Gear at Crystal Lake and Sarah going to save Zach.

Sarah manages to corner Zach in Treasure Town and explains everything to him, apologizing for leaving him alone at the beach after retrieving his Relic Fragment. Zach says she's lying, only to have Sarah confess that she loved him before. The confession is enough to allow Zach to remember everything up until they first defeated Prima Dialga and he cries, calling himself an idiot for trusting Dusknoir. Zach and Sarah make up, reuniting as Team Triumph once again.

Sarah and Zach arrive at Crystal Lake to find Grovyle being attacked by the whole Wigglytuff Guild! Team Triumph stops the fight and Wigglytuff remembers them, calling off the attack. Grovyle takes the Time Gear and suggests they head to Brine Cave. Wigglytuff thanks Sarah and Zach for stopping them, calling them "friendly friends" as he used to. The trio head off to find Lapras within Brine Cave.

After Lapras brings them to the Hidden Land, Primal Ninetales attacks them with a hoard of Sableye. The Fire-type successfully steals the Relic Fragment, only to have Sarah steal it back and throw him back into the dimensional portal he created. His Sableye flee, allowing the group to board the Rainbow Stoneship and fly to Temporal Tower.

Dusknoir attacks them the moment they enter Temporal Tower. Grovyle and Sarah fight their hardest while Zach stays back, too afraid to fight Dusknoir. When Sarah gets hurt, Zach jumps in and saves her. Dusknoir tries to destroy Team Triumph, only to have Grovyle take the attack and defeat Dusknoir. Grovyle apologizes and stays behind, too injured to help them against Dialga, as Sarah and Zach move onward.

Reaching the top, Zach and Sarah fight Primal Dialga. Upon being defeated, Primal Dialga attempts to reverse time again when Sarah warns him that nothing he does will stop him from being defeated. While Dialga is distracted, Zach ends the battle with Discharge and stops the paralysis from ever starting. Before sarah vanishes, Zach kisses her and says "see you soon", knowing she'll come back.

Months pass and, just as Zach thought, Sarah returns and Team Triumph is officially created at Wigglytuff's Guild. Sarah still retains the scars she recieved from the Sableye, scars she knows she originally wouldn't have had if she had chosen to go with Zach. Every time she looks in a reflective surface, she sees only her Skitty self. She's happy.
